The Midwest Tea Festival invites Heart of America Japan-America Society to join them to this yearly regional festival all about tea and the cultures of which tea is an integral part. This year the festival is on Saturday, May 7 from 10:00 am. -5:00 p.m. at the Ararat Shrine Auditorium, 5100 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, MO.
There will be tea vendors who are local and national, expert speakers from across the country and lots of tea to taste. This year we also have Ayako Mizumura from Bimi Bakery in Lawrence who will be doing a presentation about Japanese tea ceremony.
Advance admissions purchased online for $12 come with a guaranteed goodie bag with a porcelain tasting cup ($10 value) and the opportunity to sign up for small group, focused tasting cafe sessions as long as there are still seats available.
