Students and teachers, friends and family, everyone is invited to join us for a fun and informative afternoon to learn more about the traditions of Japan.
 
Schedule of Events
12:00-1:00: Activity:  Try your hand at Japanese crafts with Randi Hacker, CEAS Outreach Director, and Erika Norikami, Japan Outreach Coordinator

1:00-1:50: Lecture:  Learn about the tea ceremony and the Japanese appreciation for the four seasons with KU scholars Ayako Mizumura and Mindy Landeck

2:00-3:00: Gallery Tours:  Discover some of the Museum’s tea ceremony and other treasures with gallery talks by Kris Ercums, Curator of Global Contemporary and Asian Art, and Ye Gee Kwon, Carpenter Foundation Intern of Asian Art

3:00-3:50: Performance:  Feel the power of Japanese drumming with Three Trails Taiko
