JAS Membership Categories and Annual Dues
- Individual: $20
- Family: $35
- Student: $10
- Contributing: $70+
- Corporate Member / Sponsor: $200

Standard Membership
To join the Heart of America Japan-America Society, download the Membership Form PDFs below, then complete and mail it in along with your membership dues. A "standard" membership is an Individual, Family or Student membership.
Standard Membership Benefits
Some of the benefits to all members are: Event invitations, complimentary snacks and beverages at monthly meetings. Various event mailers, mailed or emailed JAS Nichibei Newsletter. Access to community portal on NAJAS website. Access to contribute articles to our KCJAS.org website. Propose and give a cultural presentation at our meetings. (subject to review and approval). You also will receive an annual tax letter noting you contribution.
Contributing Membership Benefits
As a contributing member, you have helped provide funds to help our JAS go above and beyond the standard programs and to do more each year. Your donation above the standard membership goes towards events such as the Japan Festival and scholarships for students as well as exchange activities. As a contributing member, you receive annual recognition, annual non-profit donation tax confirmation letter on top of all benefits of a standard membership.
Corporate Membership
Without generous corporate members like you, we wouldn't be able to hold the events and provide the help and activities in the community at the capacity we do. As a corporate member, your donation of $200.00 encourages a bright future for the cultural experiences and exchanges that the Japan-America Society offers. Not only are you contributing to the Greater Kansas City area and the midwest, but also to our relationships with our sister city of Kurashiki and many other friends throughout Japan.
Corporate Membership Benefits
As a corporate member, you have helped the organization grow and to create events that group and often the entire community enjoy. Yours is a contribution to improve cultural awareness and relations. As a Corporate member, you have the option to be listed on our Sponsors page on kcjas.org. Recognition at the Japan Festival and Shinnenkai (on signboards, and other literature where possible.) You will receive mailed invitations to events. Multiple complimentary tickets to the Japan Festival and a donation letter for tax purposes. You also can make a three-minute introduction at one general meeting per year.
